Biscarrosse is a French town in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region, in the Landes département. It’s a seaside resort with impressive tourist attractions and a heritage rich in history. In this article, we take you on a tour of the Château de Montbron and other historic sites.

Castle presentation

The architecture was built between the 8th and 9th centuries. Since 1906, Château de Biscarrosse has been known as Château de Montbron. It became the property of the Chérade de Montbron family. Today, it is a private residence with four circular corner towers and mullioned windows. Louis 13-style fireplaces can also be seen. During the English occupation of the département, the chateau even housed a garrison of Edward the Black or Prince of Wales.
